A Monthly Birding Event

A fun, bird recognition game for all bird lovers, young and old, starts January 2023!  Images of common birds, provided by John C. Walch, an avid bird photographer, will be posted each month.  Information will be included regarding the bird-of-the-month, relative to their common and scientific names, where and when to spot them, physical description, and interesting characteristics.

The best part ... when you spot the bird-of-the-month, take a photo (must be clear and recognizable), then send it along with the location and other interesting information about the sighting.  Do this monthly!  Do not be discouraged, if you don't have an opportunity to photograph the monthly bird, submit one whatever month you spot and photograph it.  The Bird City Committee will select a winner at the end of the year from all photos submitted.  Send photos and information to:  suehepp8@gmail.com
