'Every Bird Counts - Your Observation Matters'
​11:15 a.m.

Kelsey is the Bird City Wisconsin Program Director at the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory, working with communities across the state to create safer, healthier places for birds and people.  her background includes studying bird populations and prairie ecosystems across the Northern Great Plains, earning a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Regina, where she researched how land management affects declining grassland birds.  An experienced bird bander, she has worked to connect research with opportunities for people to engage in conservation.  Kelsey is passionate about helping communities and individuals contribute to bird research and conservation through community science and outreach.
