Bird City Algoma Photo Contest Rules 2018-2019

1.  Photos taken and submitted must be from Kewaunee County students, 6-12 grades.
2.  Photos must be of wild birds in their natural habitat ... NO PETS!

3.   Photos must be 5"x7" or 8"x10" and matted.
4.  Photos must be taken anywhere in Kewaunee County between September 2018 and March 15, 2019.
5.  Entries are limited to two/student in each category listed below (color or b/w).
  • Songbirds       
  • Raptors
  • Shorebirds/Waterfowl
6.  Photos must be original; NO enhancements except cropping.  Judging will be based on originality, creativity, and unusual bird behavior.
7.  Photos should have the following listed on the back of photo:  full name, grade, title of photo, where photo was taken, and the name of bird photographed.
8.  Photo entries should be dropped off at 1005 Washington Street, Algoma NO LATER THAN March 20, 2019.  (OR, call 920-487-3310 to make other arrangements).  Please include signed permission slip for publication purposes.
9.  Prior to the April 6, 2019 Bird City Celebration, photos entered may be displayed at the Algoma Public Library.
10.  By officially entering the photo contest, you agree that Bird City Algoma has permission and the right to use the entry for publishing purposes (i.e. newspapers, website, or Facebook).  Digital photos may be submitted to shepp@charter.net for publishing purposes.

I hereby give my permission to publish the photo(s) in any media the Bird City Committee chooses.
